Actalent is seeking to hire a Safety Specialist to support active construction projects through a strong, field‑first safety presence. This role works directly alongside trade crews on site and partners closely with the Safety Manager to drive a culture where safety is embedded in every task, every day.

What You’ll Do
+ Actively support construction projects by working onsite with trade partners and field leadership
+ Implement, administer, and continuously improve company accident prevention plans, safety policies, and procedures
+ Serve as a trusted safety resource to employees, supervisors, and project leadership
+ Promote safe work practices through coaching, observation, and engagement in the field
+ Assist with investigations of injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents, ensuring corrective actions are effective and sustained
+ Review accident and incident reports, trends, and corrective action follow-through
+ Act as a site-level safety liaison between the company, clients, and subcontractors
+ Identify, assess, and help mitigate both routine and non-routine safety and health hazards
+ Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, and compliance reviews
+ Establish and support branch and project safety goals
+ Evaluate, approve, and help implement appropriate safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
+ Provide safety training materials, tools, and resources to crews as needed
Required / Preferred Qualifications
+ 2–4 years of construction safety experience (semiconductor or complex construction environments a plus)
+ OSHA 30 required
+ OSHA 500 strongly preferred (or equivalent safety certifications considered)
+ Associate’s degree preferred (Safety, Construction, EHS, or related field)
Skills & Competencies
+ Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EHS)
+ Excellent communicator who can engage effectively with craft workers, management, and clients
+ Proven collaborator who builds trust in the field
+ Behavioral-Based Safety mindset with hands-on experience coaching safe behaviors
+ Comfortable addressing safety issues directly, professionally, and constructively
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, ID.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.00/hr.
