Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, handling both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. The role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. Additionally, the medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

Responsibilities

+ Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision.

+ Support clinicians and care management teams in patient assessment, chronic disease management, examination, and treatment.

+ Conduct all laboratory testing procedures, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

+ Ensure adherence to laboratory quality control requirements.

+ Take vitals, with a preference for manual vitals.

+ Provide excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

Essential Skills

+ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

+ Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care.

+ Phlebotomy experience.

+ Understanding of medical terminology.

+ Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

+ Active driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School diploma required.

+ Minimum of 2 years' experience within a clinic or back office healthcare setting.

+ Medical Assistant diploma or certification or at least 3 years of MA experience.

+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

+ Experience with TriMed EMR is preferred.

+ Flexibility to adjust to a changing work environment.

Work Environment

The position is 100% onsite in a pediatric primary care clinic. The shift includes Monday from 1:30pm to 7pm, Tuesday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm, and every other Saturday from 7:45am to 12:30pm. If required to float outside of core locations, a $20 gas card is provided along with $0.67 per mile reimbursement when traveling between clinics not listed. The environment is friendly and supportive, with training available for manual vitals.

This is a Permanent position based out of Coconut Creek, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37035.18 - $52304.07/yr.
