Job Title: Quality Control Engineer
Job Description
The Quality Control Engineer (QCE) ensures the end-to-end quality compliance of products from internal and external manufacturing to customer site installation within large-scale, multi-year programs. This role is critical in preventing defects in mission-critical systems by enforcing strict quality controls during sensitive phases such as Assembly, Test, and Delivery. The QCE drives continuous improvement across multi-site production and supplier networks and acts as the operational owner of quality control for assigned Work Packages (WPs). The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement and risk mitigation across all production sites and client interventions.
Responsibilities
+ Focus on hands-on technical quality control rather than just quality management system oversight.
+ Embed in production to ensure close product quality monitoring and rapid issue identification.
+ Act as a gatekeeper for the production process, ensuring compliance and quality at all stages.
+ Conduct inspection reports, supplier inspections, and factory acceptance tests.
+ Provide technical verification of parts and assemblies.
Essential Skills
+ Strong technical experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
+ Hands-on experience with quality control in a production environment.
+ Ability to conduct inspections, drive supplier quality, and perform technical verifications.
+ Proactive, investigative mindset with the ability to run workshops and root cause analyses (e.g., PDCA, fishbone).
+ Experience with AS9100 and ideally MIL standards/specs.
+ 5–10 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with supplier flow-downs and compliance in the defense industry.
+ Experience building or improving quality processes and documentation from the ground up.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warminster, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
