The Construction Project Coordinator will support Construction Project Managers with new customer construction projects for one of the state's largest utilities. You will lead projects through execution phases including planning, scheduling, construction, energization, as-builts, restoration, and closeout. Collaborating with various internal stakeholders such as land/right-of-way, inspection services, and operations, you will ensure timely and effective project completion while balancing multiple tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
+ Evaluate needs for easements and/or permits.
+ Verify field readiness for work execution.
+ Ensure material adequacy and availability for timely construction.
+ Schedule field work orders to meet in-service expectations.
+ Update status, tasks, and dates in the Work-Management System.
+ Communicate with external and internal agencies, addressing stakeholder queries and providing guidance to newer team members.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve design issues in consultation with internal design support.
Essential Skills
+ Knowledge in construction, construction management, and project management.
+ Understanding and application of company standards, tariffs, policies, applicable codes, and local jurisdiction requirements.
+ Familiarity with PGE's electrical system.
+ Knowledge of transmission and distribution construction standards and practices.
+ Proficiency in computer tools including AutoCAD and work management systems.
+ Ability to understand and apply engineering and design concepts from construction plans.
+ Capability to effectively plan, organize, design, coordinate, and manage multiple projects with changing timelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in business or related field with one year of project management experience, or an Associate Degree with three years of related experience, or a High School Diploma with five years of experience.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Basic business acumen and creativity.
+ Working analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
+ Interpersonal skills and a focus on customer service.
+ Basic knowledge of the utility industry and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays, and office presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Salem PGE office. Fieldwork travel may be required as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oregon City, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
