    Quality Assurance Lab Technician

    Job Description:

    + Support the testing of raw materials, in process and finished product per established procedures and specifications. Record results.

    + Perform basic chemical and physical analyses on a variety of samples, including food products and intermediate samples.

    + Tests include but are not limited to organoleptic evaluations, pH, titrations, sodium content, brix, moisture, specific gravity, pulp content, color test, etc.

    + Support the laboratory activities during the weekends depending on production scheduling and /or cover shifts when required.

    + Responsible of the sampling process (drums sampling, powders, etc.).

    + Responsible for the sample retention area. This includes sample retrieval and organization.

    + Responsible for keeping the lab. supply storage area organized. Responsible for ordering and restocking supplies.

    Essential Skills:

    + Proficient in chemistry and laboratory procedures.

    + Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

    + Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

    + Proficiency in quality assurance, microbiology, quality control, and GMP.

    + Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality, or related discipline is preferred

     

    Schedule

     

    + Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

    + Potential to transition into Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm

    + Occasional Saturday as needed

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
