Description We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Austin, Texas. This contract-to-ongoing position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial management of engineering projects and ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in accounting software, and able to handle a range of bookkeeping tasks with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records for all engineering projects, ensuring all transactions are correctly documented.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements regularly to monitor cash flow and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed monthly project profitability reports using Deltek Ajera software.
• Analyze cost estimates and ensure adherence to established budgets and financial plans.
• Process weekly employee timesheet reports and coordinate with third-party payroll consultants for bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Enter payroll data into accounting systems and manage employee reimbursable expenses.
• Provide detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements, aged receivables, and cost analyses.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, preparing documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Consult with relevant stakeholders to stay informed about changes in accounting standards and tax laws. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience performing primary accounting and bookkeeping duties.
• Proficiency in Deltek Ajera or similar accounting software is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to generate accurate financial reports and conduct detailed project cost analyses.
• Familiarity with payroll processes, including timesheet reviews and expense reimbursements.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• An accounting or business degree is preferred but not mandatory.
