Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a reputable construction company in Metairie, Louisiana. This permanent role offers the chance to make a significant impact within the accounting team while enjoying a supportive and collaborative work environment. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in payroll processes and demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage payroll taxes, including preparation and submission of required documentation.
• Handle 401K contributions and related reporting to maintain proper records.
• Prepare and record journal entries to support financial accuracy and transparency.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Work independently while contributing to team success through proactive communication and problem-solving.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel for payroll reporting and data management.
• Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within payroll operations. Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing full-cycle payroll processes.
• Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of 401K administration and journal entry preparation.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
