Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in El Segundo, California. This contract position requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual to perform essential financial tasks, including cash and payables management, guest service support, and adjustment postings. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting processes while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cash application and reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate recording of transactions.

• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

• Handle guest service inquiries with professionalism, addressing billing and payment-related concerns.

• Post account adjustments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Review financial transactions for errors and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Maintain organized documentation of financial activities for auditing and reporting purposes.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

• Follow established procedures while ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

Requirements • Basic knowledge or experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing.

• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work onsite and commit to a consistent schedule.

• Organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
