Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations for our organization in Selma, Texas. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and optimizing processes to support strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting, budgeting, and team leadership to drive efficiency and innovation within the finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Direct and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

• Lead the budgeting process and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain financial forecasts.

• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend actionable solutions to improve financial outcomes.

• Supervise percentage-of-completion accounting for construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking of costs, revenues, and profitability.

• Oversee customer invoicing and collections while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and negotiating payment terms.

• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial systems.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and maintaining a collaborative work environment. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a controller position.

• Proven experience managing teams, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Strong expertise in construction accounting, including percentage-of-completion methods.

• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Vista is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with financial modeling techniques.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Demonstrated strategic thinking capability and alignment with organizational objectives.
