Description
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will manage key financial processes and ensure the accuracy of accounting records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach, with a background in accounting within the construction or manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Issue bi-weekly payments to subcontractors and maintain vendor accounts.
• Set up new vendors and subcontractors by collecting and organizing necessary documentation, such as W-9s, COIs, and contracts.
• Assist in tracking job costs and coding expenses appropriately to specific projects.
• Process and reconcile invoices, credit card transactions, and receipts to maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices and progress billings.
• Provide support for payroll processing and timesheet reviews as needed.
• Maintain well-organized digital and physical accounting records.
• Contribute to month-end closing activities and assist in generating financial reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to address billing and payment inquiries.
The pay range for this position is $32/hour to $37/hr + bonus.

Requirements • Proficiency in corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax returns.
• Experience with journal entries and general ledger management.
• Background in accounting within the construction or manufacturing industries.
• Strong skills in accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ability to manage vendor accounts and handle job cost tracking.
• Expertise in invoice reconciliation and credit card transaction processing.
• Familiarity with payroll procedures and customer billing practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
