Description
We are looking for a skilled Deposit Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily banking operations in the Texas Hill Country. This role involves managing deposit processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a team to maintain operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking operations and a proven ability to enhance workflows while prioritizing accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily deposit operations, including account maintenance, corrections, closures, rate adjustments, and exception handling.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of wires, deposits, returned items, stop payments, overdrafts, and reconciliations.
• Oversee escheatment processes and ensure proper tracking and notifications for dormant or inactive accounts.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards through accurate documentation and reporting.
• Monitor back-office workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and minimize customer impact.
• Act as the subject matter expert for deposit-related configurations during core banking system conversions.
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and internal teams to enhance workflows, parameters, and system integrations.
• Support digital banking platforms by overseeing operational controls and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Lead responses to audits, exams, and regulatory reviews while maintaining a strong control environment.
• Train and develop staff to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and customer service standards.
Requirements • At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in banking operations.
• 7 or more years of experience in deposit operations, back-office processing, or similar roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulations such as Reg CC, Reg D, Reg E, and other deposit-related requirements.
• Familiarity with multiple core banking platforms and workflows, including wires, check processing, and account servicing.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate teams effectively.
• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
• Experience preparing documentation and responses for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Knowledge of digital banking platforms and operational controls for features like mobile deposits and online transfers.
