Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Williamsburg, Virginia. In this contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing for a diverse group of employees. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of payroll systems, compliance regulations, and multi-state payroll practices.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Manage 401(k) contributions, deductions, garnishments, and related payroll adjustments.

• Handle expense reimbursements, bonuses, and other compensation-related items.

• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations across multiple states.

• Utilize Paylocity software to execute full-cycle payroll tasks.

• Oversee tracking and reporting of payroll-related data for organizational records.

• Ensure proper handling of employee benefits and deductions.

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries effectively.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

• Monitor and implement updates to payroll policies as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.

• Proficiency in managing payroll for multi-state operations.

• Strong knowledge of Paylocity software or similar payroll systems.

• Experience handling payroll for over 500 employees.

• Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations and practices.

• Ability to manage deductions, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication skills for resolving payroll-related issues.
