Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Fresno, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing essential accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a long-term role with potential growth into month-end close processes, HR support, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including posting customer payments, generating invoices, and preparing weekly customer statements.

• Follow up on outstanding balances, handle collections, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Oversee accounts payable tasks by verifying and coding bills, processing check runs, and maintaining monthly bill schedules.

• Prepare accurate aging reports and conduct detailed research to address financial discrepancies.

• Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation for financial reporting.

• Support month-end close activities, contributing to the preparation and review of financial statements.

• Provide HR support by managing benefits forms, filing, and onboarding documentation.

• Coordinate travel arrangements and perform administrative tasks as needed.

• Collaborate with the AP team and grower accountant to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a preference for 5+ years.

• Strong expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and reconciliations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new accounting systems; experience with Famous Software is a plus.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• High level of reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
