Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join one of our clients on an interim basis. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced detail-oriented individual to assist with individual and business tax preparation, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a proven ability to navigate a busy tax season with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and business tax filings, including forms such as 1065, 1120, partnerships, and S corporations.

• Review financial records to ensure compliance with tax regulations and identify potential issues.

• Utilize Lacerte software to efficiently process and file tax returns.

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify any discrepancies.

• Stay updated on federal and state tax laws to ensure accurate and compliant filings.

• Provide guidance and insights to clients regarding tax planning and strategies.

• Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines during the busy tax season.

• Conduct thorough reviews of completed tax filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Support the team in maintaining a high level of service quality and professionalism.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation, including both individual and business filings.

• Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of tax returns during tax season.

• Proficiency in using Lacerte or similar tax preparation software.

• Strong understanding of tax forms such as 1065, 1120, partnerships, and S corporations.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

• Familiarity with current federal and state tax laws and regulations.
