Description

We are looking for an experienced remote Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Tyler, TX. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies. This position requires strong attention to detail and expertise in managing accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper account coding.

• Process invoices efficiently, ensuring timely payments to vendors.

• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and manage check runs.

• Maintain organized records of transactions and payment history.

• Resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors to address any payment issues.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial procedures.

• Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.

• Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency in the accounts payable process.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.

• Proficiency in processing invoices and managing account coding.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze and resolve invoice discrepancies effectively.

• Knowledge of financial software and systems.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Capability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
