• IT Support Administrator

    Robert Half Technology (Charlotte, NC)


    Description

    + Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for end users via phone, remote tools, and in person, resolving issues related to hardware, operating systems, applications, and network connectivity

    + Monitor, prioritize, and resolve helpdesk tickets while documenting solutions and contributing to the IT knowledge base

    + Install, configure, and support end-user hardware and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, phones, printers, scanners, and Microsoft Teams conferencing systems

    + Perform basic network and connectivity troubleshooting (wired, wireless, VPN, DHCP/DNS)

    + Assist with server, virtualization, and storage support, including patching, updates, backups, and system health monitoring

    + Support onboarding/offboarding processes, user account management, and IT asset tracking

    + Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to deploy hardware, software, and services

    Requirements

    + Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems

    + Hands-on experience with Active Directory user, group, and computer management

    + Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange Online, and license management

    + Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, wireless networking, and VPN technologies

    + Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and/or XCP-ng

    + Experience supporting file servers, network storage, and backup systems

    + Exposure to SQL Server administration or troubleshooting

    + Experience with VoIP systems (preferably Cisco UCM) and conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams

    + Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in enterprise environments

    + Strong technical documentation skills and experience maintaining operational runbooks or knowledge bases
