Description We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers flexibility within standard business hours and requires full onsite presence. The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts payable processes who is eager to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of figures, postings, and documentation, ensuring proper coding and mathematical correctness.

• Organize and safeguard files, records, and cash equivalents in compliance with company policies.

• Input, retrieve, and analyze financial data using computerized systems.

• Maintain comprehensive electronic spreadsheets to support financial and accounting activities.

• Categorize and summarize financial data to update journals and ledgers effectively.

• Generate, update, and distribute financial, statistical, and payroll reports in a timely manner.

• Execute and finalize period-end closing procedures, including reconciliation and issuance of invoices and account statements.

• Prepare and review bills and invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies.

• Address additional duties as needed to support the finance team. Requirements • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.

• Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including account coding and invoice processing.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.

• Competence in using accounting software and computerized financial systems.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage and secure records effectively.

• Ability to produce and analyze spreadsheets for financial data.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate within a team environment.
