Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this long-term contract role, you will focus on managing and improving collection processes to ensure timely payments and maintain strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both commercial and consumer collections, as well as a solid understanding of credit management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute collection activities for commercial and consumer accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances.

• Communicate professionally with customers to address payment issues and negotiate solutions.

• Monitor account aging and prioritize collection efforts based on established guidelines.

• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer interactions for reporting and analysis.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve collection processes.

• Analyze credit risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential payment issues.

• Prepare reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards throughout the collection process.

• Identify opportunities to enhance collection strategies and improve efficiency.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to support long-term business partnerships. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.

• Strong knowledge of credit management principles and collection processes.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to analyze account data and prioritize collection efforts effectively.

• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.

• Familiarity with billing and payment systems.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Commitment to maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
