Description
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for payroll professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about supporting community-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process and analyze payroll data to ensure timely and accurate payroll cycles for all employees
+ Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and nonprofit regulations
+ Assist with payroll reconciliations, tax filings, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)
+ Review and audit timekeeping systems and resolve discrepancies
+ Support benefits administration and coordinate with HR on employee changes
+ Prepare payroll-related reports for management, grants, and audits
+ Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff and leadership
Requirements
+ 2+ years of payroll experience; nonprofit sector experience strongly preferred
+ Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
+ Solid understanding of payroll regulations and best practices
+ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
+ Excellent communication and customer service abilities
