Responsibilities Serving as a Contract Compliance Specialist GS-1101-11 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Student Service Division (SSD) under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to plan and exercise management control and to provide administration and quality assurance functions of assigned on-going service contracts. Typical duties include: Providing management support for assigned contracts and is officially appointed as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in accordance with all Federal, Department and local laws and regulations. Maintaining liaison with partnering organizations (POs), FLETC staff, other government agencies and industry as required in order to identify existing and incipient support requirements and problems on assigned contracts. Serving as a liaison between contractor, FLETC functional activities, POs, other government agencies and industry, and the Contracting Officer (CO) to identify methods for improvement to enhance successful completion of contracts and customer satisfaction. Establishes inspection schedules and performs on-site inspections to assure compliance with specifications, acceptable output and adherence to safety measures, wage and hour law rules, etc. Preparing contract discrepancy and deficiency breakdown reports and documents. Investigates customer complaints and determines appropriate courses of action and resolutions. Reviewing and evaluating requests for contract modifications and change orders. For additional assistance, please visit: USAJOBS Help Center - Update your resume now so it meets new resume requirements Specialized Experience: You qualify at the GS-11 grade level if you possess one of the following: Possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal service planning and developing procurement related documents; performing property management duties with regards to assigned contracts, including complying with policies, programs, regulations and procedures for the management and safekeeping of government-furnished property; establishing inspection schedules and performing on-site inspections to assure compliance with specifications, acceptable output and adherence to safety measures. OR Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., from an accredited college or university that is related to the work of the position to be filled. OR An equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education obtained in an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position and specialized experience. Physical Demands: In addition to work performed at a desk, the incumbent is involved in frequent stooping, bending and walking to perform inspections and witness contractor performance. Work Environment: The work is performed in a typical office setting but involves visits to contractor work sites as well as maintenance shop activities. Heat, dirt and dust are present at these facilities and require the use of safety equipment such as boots and glasses.
