Position Summary:

Working in close partnership with pediatric management team (medical director, assistant medical director, operations coordinator), the Pediatric Physician Lead acts as a leader, clinical resource and mentor for all team members. Pediatric Physician Lead will work with leadership to determine education and mentorship priorities for the practice, and as needed, facilitate departmental projects, quality and safety initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Full-time position which includes one evening shift per week and one weekend day/month

+ Limited call requirement: approximately 2–3 times per year

+ Mix of sick clinic and primary care

+ Well-established patient panel

+ Privileges obtained at Boston Medical Center

+ Epic EMR/Haiku

+ Integration of AI Ambient Listening to help with note-writing

+ Excellent support staff: team-based care including physicians, PCP and anchor nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, on-site behavioral health support, readily available interpreters, and care navigators

+ Extensive network of local specialists through Boston Medical Center and surrounding local hospitals

Pediatric Physician Lead Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Help create and execute a didactic program for department (and all departments caring for pediatric patients throughout the health center – including at least one lecture a week which can be offered for CME credit through BU.

+ Provide clinical case reviews with new providers on a weekly basis

+ Review provider charts on a regular basis

+ Help Mentor new providers as their transition to their new roles

+ Take part in Root Cause Analysis Meetings and Case reviews when needed

+ Help carry out Quality Improvement projects or other department initiatives as they arise

+ BC/BE Pediatrician

+ Bilingual in English/Spanish helpful, though not required

+ Passion for providing patient-centered, community-focused care

Salary: Starting at $206,000 and up to $245,400 based on years of experience.
