Description
The Parts Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels and stock management across multiple locations, contributing to a superior customer service experience. The role involves analyzing data to guide inventory decisions, overseeing vendor supply chains, and maintaining accurate SKU pricing. The analyst plays a key role in product launches, lifecycle management, and overall supply chain efficiency to ensure stock is effectively utilized and always available when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Forecasting and Stock Levels
+ Analyze forecast data for parts/SKUs to maintain appropriate stock levels across all locations.
+ Manage recommended orders to ensure stock availability and prevent shortages.
+ Assess inventory levels at various stores to support capacity planning and distribution needs.
+ Monitor and summarize KPI’s as part of daily, weekly, monthly objectives.
Replenishment and SKU Management
+ Review replenishment policies and approve stock additions to align with demand.
+ Provide data-driven insights for SKU rationalization and inventory requirements.
+ Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecards to evaluate supplier reliability, lead times, and compliance with replenishment policies; collaborate with vendors to address gaps and improve service levels.
+ Maintain a portfolio of vendors, negotiate pricing, terms, delivery, and cadenced updating of all allied price tapes.
+ Create and issue on order reports weekly for allied vendors for Logistics and Operations teams.
+ Root cause analysis for inventory issues, making cost-benefit decisions, and recommending improvements
Lifecycle Optimization
+ Review and adjust lifecycle parameters to align stock levels with sales trends and SKU performance.
+ Develop strategies for end-of-lifecycle items to reduce non-moving inventory an minimize excess stock.
+ Identify and chase waste throughout the dealership using lean tools,(5’s/PSQDC), to make efficiency/fiscal gains on all aspects of the procurement of inventory.
+ Become subject matter expert with allied SOS returns and assist Logistic and Operations team in creation and execution of RMA’s.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
+ Relevant education in supply chain management or business-related fields.
Specialized Knowledge
+ Basic to intermediate knowledge of supply chain processes and systems
+ DBS/ERP system experience
+ Vendor Negotiation/Management
Skills
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel or related software.
+ Data analysis and its application to supply chain management.
+ Accuracy & Detail-oriented: Maintaining precise records, ensuring data integrity, and up-to-date system info.
+ Knowledge of machine populations, technical data, and evolving parts support strategies
Abilities
+ Ability to work independently, make data-driven decisions, and apply analytical skills to enhance inventory management.
+ Capable of optimizing stock levels to improve efficiency and meet organizational goals.
+ Will work safely, identifying and correcting any near misses as they arise both in a physical and financial nature.
+ Coordinating with sales, operations, accounting, logistics, and branch teams to align inventory strategies.
