Job Skills / Requirements

SUNSTATES IS HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sunstates Security is currently hiring for Part Time & Flex Security Officers for all shift in the Kearny, NJ area. With a starting pay rate of $18-$19/hr, paid weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Signing trucks in and out and should be comfortable reading Bills of Lading.

+ Manage a high volume of trailers entering and exiting the property effectively.

+ Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a strong security presence.

+ Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to ensure safety.

+ Control access to buildings and restricted areas.

+ Report any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches.

+ Respond to alarms and emergencies according to established procedures.

+ Complete incident and shift reports accurately and in a timely manner.

+ Provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.

Requirements:

+ Current SORA License

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security or leadership training a plus.

+ 1+ years of experience in security.

+ Strong observation and communication skills Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

+ Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure

+ Technology literacy: Capable of operating various devices including computers, tablets, and software.

+ Proficient in writing reports.

+ Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

+ Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work indoors/outdoors as needed.

+ Previous security experience

+ Strong customer service skills

+ Ability to conduct tours lasting up to one hour

+ Able to work in varying weather conditions

Schedule:

+ All Shifts

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Sun123
