    *Why Orthopedic Surgery? *

    * Join our Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines – Orthopedic Surgery team where the RN - Clinic works closely with the Orthopedic Surgery Physicians, Physician Assistants, and supporting staff.

    * The RN will typically work with telephone messages, triage, and patient education.

    * The majority of this position is at a desk, on the computer and phone rather than physical face-to-face interactions with patients.

    *What you'll do: *

    * The majority of this position is administrative (i.e. working phones, Epic, in-basket messaging).

    * Assist with PRP.

    * Draw up injections for providers.

    * Ensuring Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.

    * Performing patient assessments and care tasks and medication administration as appropriate.

    * Educating patients and documenting patient interactions.

    * Practicing infection control.

    * Contributing to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.

    * Working collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

    *Required Qualifications:*

    * Current California RN license

    * Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS Certificate

    * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

    * Minimum 1 year of RN experience

    * Proficient with medical terminology and of computer systems

    *Preferred Qualifications:*

    * At least 1 year of Outpatient Clinic experience

    * Orthopedic experience

    * Epic, in-basket & triage experience
