    Cable Technician –(Contract-to-Hire)

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday (1st & 2nd shift), with potential overtime and occasional Saturday work

    About the Role

    We’re looking for Cable Technicians to join a growing team in a high-tech data center environment. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and telecommunications while working on exciting projects that power the future of technology.

    What You’ll Do

    + Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to industry standards.

    + Assist with RJ45 terminations and patch panel work under guidance.

    + Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks.

    + Support cable testing using tools like Fluke or EXFO (training provided).

    + Gain exposure to fiber cable handling and dressing.

    + Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

    + Work closely with experienced technicians and supervisors.

    What We’re Looking For

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Comfortable working on ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces.

    + Basic understanding of color-coded wiring and RJ45 terminations.

    + Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.

    + Hard-working, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.

    + Ability to work days, nights, or weekends based on project needs.

    Top Skills

    + Cat5/Cat6 cabling

    + Termination & punch-down

    + Cable pulling and installation

    + Structured cabling basics

     

    Nice-to-Have: Telecom experience, fiber handling, construction experience

    Compliance Requirements

    + Must pass a drug test (including THC) and BGC

    + Must not have worked in the META center within the last 6 months.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
