Smurfit Westrock Consumer Packaging Division has embarked on a Systems Modernization initiative, a multi-year program. The Business Process Analyst position is a part of our Business Systems Modernization team responsible for the overall implementation
This role will serve as a trusted partner, advisor and thought leader on the future state processes and systems implementation.
Position Summary:
The Business Process Analyst will play an important role as a member of the Business Systems Modernization team supporting and collaborating with the IT and other Project teams, to ensure overall Business Process Consistency, Data Quality, Standardization and Governance. The Business Process Analyst\u2019s job will focus on solution-level decisions and analysis of their impact on the overall business goals and outcomes. The Business Process Analyst serves as the subject matter expert supporting multiple disciplines of Consumer Packaging Applications, solutions design, implementations and Support.
* This Role is a primary contributor to the Consumer Packaging Radius implementation
* You will participate in the design and implementation of an interim and ongoing process and data governance process.
* This Role will also have impact on new process design and development as needed to support the System Modernization
* This Role will work directly with Business Leadership and locations to ensure that processes are being followed and executed.
* Daily activities include ongoing communications with business project team, updates and progress reports.
* Identifying process redundancy issues, designing and executing harmonization plans.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
* Participation with several other workstreams to ensure process, Data Quality and Governance aspects are represented
* Partner with Business Leadership on processes, Data Quality and Governance Vision
* Plan and execute working sessions with Business and IT partners as needed
* Develop end to end process harmonization execution plans
* Propose Scope of most impactful processes and data elements to govern in legacy systems throughout interim state
* Propose interim process and Governance Controls in specific legacy systems.
* Assist with testing and implementation of new or enhanced versions of software
* Develop detailed documentation/training material and provide training to end-users
What you need to succeed:
* 5+ years of solid hands-on experience in Consumer Packaging or related industry or in a business analyst role
* Understanding of current Legacy data and processes - preferred
* Able to navigate within legacy systems - preferred
* Understanding of Industry segment processes and procedures - preferred
* Proficient with Word, Visio, Excel and pivots
* Able to work independently to identify, develop and execute plans
* Display ability to lead meetings and activities. Kaizen, Steering teams, Training sessions.
* Ability to recognize, develop and present opportunities to leadership
* Self-motivated, independent individual that promotes teamwork.
* Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities and confidence to use initiative to pursue solutions.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work and collaborate with employees at all levels
* Ability to travel as required, approx. 50% of time expected in current site
* On occasion weekend work will be required to support cutover & go live activities
