    Primary Function

    We are seeking a Senior Event Technician for the delivery of live event production services in alignment with a premiere technology client at their newly built event center. This role is responsible for training and working with a team of Multi-Skilled Technicians to deliver end-to-end live event production.

     

    The ideal candidate should have a high technical background with previous experience in production systems, specifically Ross TD2S switcher, GrandMA lighting console, PTZ cameras and controllers. Yamaha DM7 audio console, Analog Way, and experience with wide format displays. The candidate requires experience in successfully planning and delivering events, strong problem solving skills, training others, experience with integrated systems, and a desire to learn new skills and keep up with advancements in technology.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

     

    Provides top-class customer service skills, being able to explain our services to technical and non-technical stakeholders

     

    Responsible, along with other Technicians and Specialists for the successful planning, staffing and delivery of event requests, held within the clients fully equipped event center

     

    Work closely alongside external AV vendors and freelance, ensuring the needs of the internal stakeholder are fully communicated and met

     

    Able to operate, configure, and troubleshoot a range of integrated systems including Ross TD2S console, PTZ Cameras and controllers, GrandMA Lighting console, Yamaha DM7 console, and Analog Way

     

    Able to operate other event audio-visual systems as required

     

    Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment when and where necessary

     

    Assists in maintaining audio visual equipment as required.

     

    Escalates equipment failures to appropriate inhouse teams and assists with the resolution as needed to maintain service levels

     

    Ensures SOPs are developed and followed, and that contingency planning is included in event support

     

    Is involved in special projects or assignments as allocated and executes them within the given timeline

     

    Contributes to R&D efforts, identifying ways in which we can improve quality of output, efficiency through automation/tooling and process improvements

     

    Is responsible for managing technical risks throughout pre-production planning, execution and post event

     

    Able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of running a full scale event

     

    Setting the gold standard for delivering high-quality service to our clients

     

    Adheres to broadcast standards for remote and recorded attendees

     

    Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

     

    Develop and support relationships within both the client and wider Team People team

     

    Performs other ad hoc duties as required by the business

     

    Skills & Qualifications

     

    Highly proficient with Ross TD2S console, PTZ Cameras and controllers, GrandMA Lighting console, Yamaha DM7 console, and Analog Way

     

    Experience working in a live event and broadcast environment

     

    Background in Audio Visual Engineering with an appetite for discovering new technologies and how they can be implemented to enhance the attendee experience

     

    Able to effectively lead and communicate

     

    Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team

     

    Self starter that can demonstrate being open to learning

     

    Understanding and experience of various event formats

    Capable of reading and understanding AV system diagrams

    A strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving abilities while under the pressure of a live event environment.

     

    Education & Experience

     

    Minimum 5-10 years of professional technical live event experience

     

    Certifications such as DES, CTS, PMP, or similar are encouraged but not required

     

    Bachelor's degree in media production, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field is preferred
