    Microbiologist

     

    Development and implementation of Quality Assurance objectives, systems, education and training to ensure compliance with PMBQMS (Primo Brands Quality Management System). This role will specifically support and lead efforts to improve factory GMPs, HACCP, FTR, consumer complaints, sensory, microbiological testing, and chemical analyses and proficiencies.

     

    **Factory Location:** Lee, FL

    **Compensation Pay** : $30.00 / hr

    **Shift differential:** 6%-8% for applicable hours worked

    **Schedule:** 2-2-3 Rotation, Day Shift, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm

     

    Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain safe work environment and support safety programs.

    + Work with QA team to develop and implement process control initiatives.

    + Perform equipment evaluations, maintenance, and calibrations (ICPs).

    + Work with other departments in leading/teaching/educating EE’s in GMPs and HACCP.

    + Assist with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

    + Monitor incoming raw materials and maintain traceability program.

    + Review and approve daily paperwork for all lines, including follow-up w/ resources for missing documentation.

    + Support warehouse and production with product holds, records, dispositions and root cause analysis.

    + Assist with consumer complaint processing, reporting, and analysis for all aspects of the plant.

    + Assist with all plant Quality initiatives and projects as needed.

    + Perform microbiological testing on in-process, finished product and spring samples.

    + Perform various auditing of various departments and assist resources with corrective actions.

    + Conduct chromatographic and spectroscopic analysis for bromate and acetaldehyde.

    Qualifications

    Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field, (relevant work experience will be considered in Lieu of a degree).

     

    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

     

    Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

     

    Strong troubleshooting skills.

     

    Ability to make decisions based on data and risk evaluation.

     

    Ability to prioritize tasks.

     

    Strong instructional and leadership capabilities.

     

    Ability to work both individually, and as part of a team.

     

    Able to handle complex and technical laboratory procedures that require accuracy and attention to detail.

     

    Computer experience required.

     

    Knowledge in SAP, Infinity Enact, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

     

    Understanding of basic manufacturing processes

     

    Basic knowledge of GLPs and GMPs.

     

    Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
