Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking an Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to support K-8 students in a specialized physical education setting.

Position Overview:

+ Location: California (specific site details provided during interview)

+ Start Date: ASAP

+ End Date: June 9, 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 37.5/week

+ Modality: In-person

+ Openings: 1

Classroom Details:

+ Grade Level: K-8

+ Caseload: To be determined

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement specialized physical education programs for students with motor domain needs

+ Motivate students to build skills, confidence, and independence

+ Collaborate with school teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment

+ Use diverse instructional techniques tailored to individual student abilities

Minimum Requirements:

+ California credential (Single Subject PE, Multiple Subject, or Education Specialist)

+ Adapted Physical Education (APE) authorization or ability to obtain

+ Three years of teaching experience (preferred)

+ Experience working with special needs students in classroom or group settings (preferred)

+ Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills

+ Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success

+ CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
