    Athletic Trainer (AT) – Remainder of the School Year

    Position Overview

    Prince William County Schools is seeking a Board Certified, Virginia-licensed Athletic Trainer to provide athletic coverage at Unity Reed High School for the remainder of the school year, with additional post-season coverage at Colgan High School.

    Schedule & Expectations

    + Arrive at 1:30 PM for after-school athlete care

    + End time typically 6:30–7:30 PM, depending on practices and sporting events

    + Approximately 40 hours/week

    + Must remain on-site until all practices and games conclude

    Duties

    + Documentation

    + Field set-up

    + Before and after game athlete care

    Required Qualifications

    + Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Training

    + Active Virginia Medical License to practice Athletic Training

    + Candidates licensed in other states (e.g., MD) may apply for VA licensure — fee assistance available

    + Master’s degree in Athletic Training (typical pathway)

    + Must meet all PWCS onboarding requirements (including PWCS application, if applicable)

    Not Eligible

    + Nurses (RN, LPN)

    + Physical Therapists

    + Personal Trainers

    + Anyone without AT board certification and VA licensure eligibility
