School Aide (Special Education Support)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 25 weeks

Schedule: Approximately 12 hours/week (flexible)

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and reliable School Aides to support students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, classroom teacher, or designated supervisor. This role may also involve assisting students with personal care, physical mobility, and therapeutic needs as directed by healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in classroom and school settings.

+ Assist with personal care and mobility needs, including toileting when necessary.

+ Support therapeutic care plans as directed by rehabilitation or healthcare professionals.

+ Travel between school sites as needed.

+ Maintain compliance with school and district policies.

Minimum Requirements

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ Ability to comply with all professional standards of practice.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per state or contract regulations).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

Additional Details

+ Travel: Site-to-site; must be flexible for last-minute schedule changes.

Compensation

+ Local Pay Rate: $19/hour

+ Estimated Weekly Pay: $228 (based on 12 hours/week)
