Special Education Teacher – $45/hr – Burbank, IL – In-Person – 39 Weeks

Position Overview:

We are seeking four Special Education Teachers to provide quality services to students in specialized classrooms, including Autism (STAR program), Multi-Needs, and Transition programs (ages 18–22). Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, providing special instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Burbank, IL

+ Start Date: January 26, 2026 (ASAP/Flexible Start)

+ End Date: End of 2025–2026 school year

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 32.5 per week (8:15 AM–3:15 PM, unpaid 30-min break)

+ Duration: 39 weeks

+ Pay Rate: $45/hour

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Openings: 4 positions

+ Interview: In-person (before 8 AM or after 4 PM if candidate is currently working)

Responsibilities:

+ Provide instruction and support to students in specialized classrooms

+ Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

+ Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams

+ Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations

Requirements:

+ Valid state teaching certificate with LBS1 endorsement

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
