Overview
The Supply Chain Transformation Associate will provide direct support to help improve efficiency, sustainability, and overall performance of the Supply Chain function. The Supply Chain Transformation Associate will provide high quality, timely and complete service to suppliers and internal stakeholders in support of transformation endeavors. The ability to network and collaborate internally and externally in multi-cultural environments is essential for success.
This position reports directly to the Manager, Supply Chain Transformation.
This position can be based out of Allentown, PA; Louisville, KY; Providence, RI.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
+ **Supplier Engagement –** Support the implementation and execution of supplier engagement programs and efforts for all operating companies, including the creation and maintenance of the “potential supplier database” containing relevant supplier qualifications. Serve as primary point of contact for suppliers interested in doing business with PPL.
+ **Regulatory Compliance** – Track and report on necessary supplier information in support of regulatory compliance across all operating companies. Maintain appropriate and necessary documentation related to supplier business size and status.
+ **Relationship Building** – Effectively communicate with suppliers, peers and departmental management regarding business matters, including those with technical content. Present status updates and recommendations to stakeholders, highlighting relevant benefits and/or impacts of the proposal.
+ **Change Management –** With oversight, research, assess, recommend, and implement new industry best practices, taking into consideration benchmarking data from other utilities. Support change management efforts for impacted stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of new Supply Chain processes, technologies, and practices.
+ **Supply Chain Sustainability –** Develop tracking and reporting of supplier efforts to advance corporate sustainability goals. Provide support to investment recovery manager, related suppliers and business stakeholders. Actively participate and represent the company during Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance events and meetings. Propose program improvements for the company based on engagement with the Alliance and other utility members.
+ **Supplier Development –** Support the execution of training programs for qualified suppliers to support their ability to provide goods and services to PPL companies.
+ **Cost Savings –** Support the implementation of cost savings initiatives across the supply chain through process optimization, identification of strategic sourcing opportunities, and other initiatives.
+ **Collaboration –** Work closely with cross functional teams including Procurement, Logistics, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless integration and alignment of supply chain initiatives.
+ **Supplier Onboarding –** Provide end-to-end support for suppliers contacting the company through the supplier inquiry and supply chain help desk mailboxes, escalating where necessary.
+ All other duties and projects as assigned.
This position may be assigned a storm role that would require work outside of normal business hours.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience on a year-for-year basis required.
Experience
Minimum of one year of experience in a professional environment supporting operations or supply chain.
Licensure / Other Qualifications
Physical presence in the office/on-site is required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among co-workers as necessary
Possess both strong communications and Presentation skills (oral/written) and be able to effectively network with a variety of people at various levels within the company, supply base and business community.
Ability to analyze data to identify business trends and proactively source qualified suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
Possesses an innate curiosity and a strong desire to identify/solve business problems.
Supply Chain experience.
Experience working in an Oracle e-business suite and other similar ERP systems (INFOR, SAP, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills, including the ability to filter information, as appropriate, depending on the audience (i.e., technical vs. non-technical, level of detail, etc.).
