Lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on community health as a Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor/Registered Dietitian. In this role, you’ll provide leadership and expert nutrition services primarily within the WIC program while supporting other public health initiatives as needed. You’ll play a key role in guiding nutrition services that support women, infants, and children, all while practicing at the top of your license in a dynamic clinic or regional setting. Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a permanent Louisiana Dietitian/Nutritionist license plus three years of licensed experience in public health nutrition or dietetics in a clinical setting.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Provide supervisory oversight and clinical leadership to Public Health Nutritionists, Health Educators, Nutrition Educators, and contract staff; monitor performance, approve work, manage clinic flow, and ensure high-quality WIC and public health nutrition services.
+ Serve as the High Risk Nutritionist for the WIC program by conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, determining nutrition risk, providing high-risk counseling, prescribing individualized food packages, performing anthropometric measurements and laboratory testing, and delivering wrap-around case management and referrals.
+ Interpret and implement state and federal WIC policies and procedures; independently provide certification and recertification services; document services accurately in LAWIN; and monitor and approve clinical documentation completed by provisional staff.
+ Oversee infant and pediatric formula management, including approving exempt formula prescriptions, ordering and tracking formula, maintaining inventory systems, projecting future needs, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution across assigned locations.
+ Lead quality improvement, nutrition education, and outreach efforts by monitoring and enhancing clinical workflows, supervising outreach activities, promoting breastfeeding, developing educational materials and training programs, and serving as a subject matter expert in maternal and child nutrition.
+ Manage staff development and program operations by conducting evaluations, approving leave and time, supporting hiring and disciplinary processes, assisting with strategic planning, supporting emergency response activities, collaborating with other program supervisors, and representing the program through training, coalitions, and special projects.
