    Delgado Community College is seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to fill a full-time Mobile Equipment Operator 2 position to support the Shipping and Receiving department with the College state’s assets.

    Minimum Qualifications

    One year of experience in mobile equipment operations.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    + Functions as liaison with department(s) college wide to schedule the delivery of assets from Shipping & Receiving.

    + Ensures tagged assets are properly marked on the asset itself.

    + Records and manages fleet vehicles in recoup per state guidelines.

    + Physically delivers and retrieves fleet vehicles from various repair locations.

    + Utilizes forklift to make deliveries in Shipping & Receiving and loading surplus trucks to the Louisiana Property Assistance Agency (LPAA).

    + Coordinates the retrieval, storage and disposal of college surplus property.

    + Assist in record keeping and final disposal for tracking purposes. This position requires extensive working knowledge of usage of forklift and other heavy machinery.

    Position-Specific Details:

    Appointment Type: Probational - This position may be filled as a Probationary Appointment requiring 12-24 months on probation.

     

    Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
