Are you looking to give back and support your local community? UPMC is looking for a new Special Events Coordinator to support fundraising events within the central PA region.
This position will travel throughout central PA on a weekly basis; reliable transportation is a must.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Works weekends on occasion, schedule will flex to accommodate. No holidays.
Purpose:
Develop and implement Agency events and activities. This will be done in a manner consistent with efficiency, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinates mail schedules and production of printed and on-line promotional materials.
+ Assist in the development of the Agency Development Plan.
+ Engages volunteers in event planning and sponsorship solicitation.
+ Prepares and manages budgets; maintains records of expense and revenue associated with events, campaigns, and appeals.
+ Write, edit, and coordinate grant proposals to potential funding organizations as requested.
+ Responsibility to acknowledge sponsors, donors, and event participants for each assigned event/activity.
+ Identifies and assesses event venues, negotiates rental agreements and secures necessary licenses/permits for agency events.
+ Identifies, cultivates, and solicits vendors and other sponsors.
+ Prepares and manages budgets; maintains records of expense and revenue associated with events, campaigns, and appeals.
+ Coordinate and work with Volunteers to support agency confidentiality.
+ Work to ensure donor information and accuracy of that information is compiled.
+ Plans and implements 4 - 6 high profile fundraising events annually.
+ Prepares event promotional and solicitation materials.
+ Assist and work with Board, Committee, and/or Council members as requested.
+ Writes content newsletter, website, and event promotional pieces.
+ Works with designer through final production and printing.
+ Work with Development Director to coordinate management of donor information and utilization of that information.
+ Obtain and process bids for the production of event/activities materials.
+ Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred
+ Three to five years of experience in event planning and execution including sales, marketing/promotions, and public relations.
+ Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work and prioritize independently.
+ Ability to inspire and motivate volunteersLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
