Visiting Faculty - Economics

Northwestern College invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting faculty position in the business and economics department (https://www.nwciowa.edu/business) , beginning August 2026. We seek a dynamic educator who is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach a range of economics courses, which may include:

+ Principles of Macroeconomics

+ Principles of Microeconomics

+ Intermediate Microeconomics

+ Money and Banking

+ International Economics

+ Advanced Corporate Finance

The teaching load is three courses per semester, along with participation in departmental service.

Required Qualifications:

+ Master’s degree in economics or a closely related field

+ Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching economics

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Doctoral degree in a relevant field

+ Experience in higher education

+ Strong commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching and mentoring
