NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a R&C Machine Operator 1 to join our weekend shift team within the Circular Products (CP) business unit. This R&C Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, loading, and unloading various machines/ equipment to manufacture metal products in accordance with product specifications.
Job Title: R&C Machine Operator 1
Salary Range: $21.46 – 25.50 per hour (Non-Exempt)
(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule: Weekend shift Friday – Sunday 5am – 5pm
Shift Differential: Weekend shift – $2.50/hour
As a R&C Machine Operator 1, you will:
+ Operate 1-7 level I machines
+ Simple set up routine required
+ Notify supervisor or lead machine operator of defective materials and machine malfunctions
+ Work is usually repetitive and subject to process inspection
+ May be required to use gauges to check work
+ Load and feed metal stock and other materials into manual or automatic machines
+ Verify end parts are consistent with blue print specifications
+ Accurately label all parts for routing to next operation
+ Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence
+ Ability to electronically record production information
+ Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
+ Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team
+ Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
+ Ensure use of safe work procedures and wear all required PPE
+ Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements
Role Qualifications as a R&C Machine Operator 1:
+ Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
+ Experience working in a manufacturing setting as a team
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Ability to perform basic shop math functions
+ Ability to set up and safely operate equipment
+ Ability to operate hoists, cranes, and other powered industrial vehicles as needed
+ Ability to operate various power and hand tools
+ Ability to use various measuring devices; tape measures, squares, and calipers
+ Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods
