Job Summary
The Louis V. Gerstner Jr. Center for Learning is a purpose-built, B2B‑only corporate conference center designed for executive education, training, and mission‑critical meetings. We are seeking a Sales Manager who excels at selling value, outcomes, and experience. This role is responsible for leading marketing and sales initiatives, while managing and developing a high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategically sell hotel rooms and conference center space, including related services and food and beverage offerings, to individuals, groups, and corporate clients
• Achieve or exceed annual budgeted sales goals through direct sales solicitation, new account development, and effective management of existing accounts
• Maintain detailed account information, prepare sales reports, and respond promptly to all telephone and in‑person inquiries to promote the Hotel and Conference Center
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring timely responses to all requests for space and service needs
• Collaborate with customers throughout all phases of meetings and conferences to ensure exceptional service and complete client satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of hotel or conference center sales experience
• Strong quantitative, oral, and written communication skills, with demonstrated problem‑solving and strategic thinking capabilities
• Proficiency in computer applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and adapt to changes in business needs
• Commitment to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical conduct
• Exceptional customer service and relationship‑building skills
