    ### Job Duties

    Start Date: 03/01/2026

     

    End Date: 12/15/2026

     

    Hours: 63 hours/week, Mon.-Sun. 9 hours/day, 7:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

     

    Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm’s operation.

    Job Duties:

    Workers will be required to perform a variety of duties consistent with SOC Code 45-2092, Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse. Duties include participating in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, including working with grain bins and augers. Workers will clean, repair, and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Workers will operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled equipment, much of which is equipped with GPS, to plow, harrow, fertilize soil, and to plant, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops such as corn and soybeans.

     

    Additional duties include loading agricultural inputs, transporting supplies to employer fields, loading harvested crops, and driving trucks to transport crops to nearby storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, or piles/bags. Workers will clean work areas, maintain grounds, and regulate equipment and environmental conditions as needed. Workers will haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; mix materials and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; attach implements using hand tools; guide products on conveyors to regulate product flow and remove damaged or unsuitable items; and position boxes or bags at the end of machinery to collect products, remove filled containers, and secure them as needed.

     

    Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.

     

    Employer maintains a drug, and alcohol-free workplace. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.

    No High School Diploma or GED required.

     

    ### Minimum Experience Required

    Worker must be able to speak and understand English.

     

    Worker must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

     

    Worker must be able to lift items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

     

    Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

    Employer may, at the company’s sole discretion, pay workers at a rate above the minimum required and/or provide additional compensation such as bonuses, fixed salaries, PTO, insurance, incentive pay, or other benefits to any worker employed under this job order based on lawful, non-discriminatory factors including skill, performance, tenure with the employer, licensing, training, punctuality, or prior related experience.

    EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

     

    Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
