    Plant 81 | Shear Operator

    Position Overview

    Position Objective:

    Responsible for operating the shear machine.

     

    This position will be assigned to either a 2nd or 3rd shift.

    Essential Duties:

    + Oversee the shearing process which enhances the carpet's finish

    + Monitor the lint house for proper operation

    + Monitor all accumulators and carpet guides

    + Must fill in as technician as needed

    Physical Requirements:

    + Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stooр

    + Close vision and good hearing required

    + Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations

    + Must participate in group stretching prior to shift

     

    This position will be assigned to either a 2nd or 3rd shift.

    Work Shift

    8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to out-punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
