    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr Systems Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities include the following

    • Design, plan and implement technical solutions within Azure.

    • Perform installation, configuration, and support of new or existing Windows servers and software across the enterprise.

    • Ensure proper configuration to support the enterprise environment is documented and maintained – architectural, CMDB, KB articles, and technical documentation.

    • Monitor, communicate, and troubleshoot server issues as needed to restore/optimize operational issues.

    • Work with peers and other teams to develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging existing environment.

    • Work directly with other teams and groups to resolve operational and technical issues.

    • Proactively work with managed service provider’s supporting overall Data Center services, server management, and VMware environments.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 6+ years’ experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

    • 5+ years’ experience working with Azure or equivalent experiences.

    • Experience managing financial costs within Azure

    • Advanced knowledge with PowerShell and other scripting languages.

    • Must be able to prioritize and organize workload with limited supervision.

    • Project management skills / ability to work on and deliver multiple technical projects or efforts with competing priorities within a defined schedule.

    • Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple teams and with the business.

    • Familiar with resiliency methodologies, processes, techniques, and technologies. • Microsoft certifications

     

    o Azure DevOps Engineer

    o Azure Solutions Architect

    • Multiple successful deployments within Azure including but not limited to backup configuration, high availability zones, micro services, and PaaS

    • Experience with MS Exchange, ServiceNow, VMware or other hypervisors

    • Experience handling or being responsible for M&A activities

    • Experience with participating in new buildings / facilities design and implementation, and decommissioning older locations
