Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire for a Transportation and Procurement Coordinator to support operations out of their McLean, VA office. This will be a fully onsite position, working from 8:30AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday.
This individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating domestic and international shipments for the company's products. That includes working directly with freight forwarders/carriers/logistics partners to book shipments, confirm routing and manage delivery schedules as well as obtaining quotes and negotiating the best rates. They will also need to prepare and manage shipping documentation including bill of lading, packing lists and export documentation. They will need to work effectively with the project management team to understand client needs and keep project timelines on track in the case of any unforeseen delays and cancellations.

Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in intermodal domestic and international logistics/transportation
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations and other international shipping practices
- Vendor management skills including creating RFQs, negotiating with freight forwarders/third party logistic firms, and managing purchase orders
- Tremendous communication skills; will be working with vendors, clients and cross departmental teams to achieve tasks
- Must be able to obtain government security clearance - Mandarin language skills
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems including Ariba and ExoStar
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or International Business
