• Fullstack Software Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Software Developer for Insight Global, you’ll be part of a dynamic team of 5 developers, 2 QAs, a product owner, and a customer success person. Your day-to-day tasks will include addressing bugs, implementing enhancements, and developing new features. You’ll work on both new development and rewriting existing applications, with a focus on refactoring various modules. A key priority will be reworking the fiscal and training modules, which both require significant redevelopment in both Ruby on Rails and Python. You’ll use Jira for ticketing, though prior experience with Jira isn’t necessary. Documentation will be maintained in Confluence. This is a full-stack role with an emphasis on backend development (80%) and some frontend work (20%), following a two-week sprint cycle.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 3+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience

    • Bug fixes, enhancements, and new custom development

    • 2+ years of Python development experience

    • Writing and refactoring applications

    • Experience utilizing Postgress databases

    • Reading/configuring tables (database team will handle the scripting)

    • Agile working environment experience

    • Strong experience with a ticketing system for application development

    Strong documentation skills in a professional development environment • Experience using Jira ticketing system

    • Experience using Confluence for documentation

    • AWS Cloud

    • DevOps

    .Net Core
