Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems & Network Operations Specialist to support a federal client in the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of advanced cyberspace and base‑level network systems. This role is ideal for candidates with deep technical expertise, hands‑on operational network experience, and a strong commitment to national security and mission readiness.

Position Overview

The Cyber Systems & Network Operations Specialist will provide expert guidance on the installation, operation, sustainment, and modernization of Air Force Base Area Networks and associated cyberspace systems. This includes voice, data, video, radio, satellite, intrusion detection, and cryptographic platforms. The ideal candidate brings cradle‑to‑grave network lifecycle experience and a strong background in military communications environments, enabling them to bridge technical operations with as‑a‑service vendor integration and service‑level oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize cyber and communication systems across large‑scale LAN/MAN architectures.

Ensure compliance with installation standards, technical orders, engineering drawings, and commercial specifications.

Apply communications security expertise across physical, cryptographic, transmission, and emission domains.

Lead system implementation projects and ensure architecture, integration, and cybersecurity compliance.

Provide technical guidance on facility design, IT platform installations, and infrastructure modernization.

Conduct site surveys, validate equipment interfaces, and assess system readiness.

Evaluate operational performance and mission readiness of communications and network systems.

Establish and refine cyber tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Support military units as they integrate with as‑a‑service vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and mission requirements are achieved.

Coordinate service orders and maintain accurate system documentation.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert for network operations, sustainment, and lifecycle management.

Pay Range $70-80/hr

Skills and Requirements

-Active Top Secret clearance required.

-Extensive operational experience with Air Force Base -Area Networks (preferred), DoD networks (acceptable), or large‑scale commercial networks (minimum).

-Strong understanding of electronic and network principles, information assurance, telephony, RF communications, and digital systems.

-Ability to interpret technical orders, schematics, and engineering drawings.

-Experience operating, maintaining, securing, and modifying enterprise‑level networks from end to end.

-Background in a military communications environment highly preferred.

-Ideal candidates include former communications/cyber officers or Senior NCO network administrators.

-Certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly desirable.
