Job Description

AFL is building an in-house fiber splicing team in Abilene, TX. Initially starting with a team of 12 and scaling to 40+ throughout 2026. The core team will be local to Abilene, but the ability to travel to other locations for short periods is a huge plus. A mobile lab will support work on the road. This is a long-term opportunity for individuals eager to grow in the Fiber Optics field.

Skills and Requirements

- Must be available for rotating shifts (24/7 coverage required)

- Must be avaulable for 12 hour shifts, 6 days/week

- Must be willing to work up to 80 hours a week

- Pass a background and drug test

- Must have a basic understanding of fiber splicing

- Ability to travel to other customer sites on per diem basis (preferred, not required)
