_This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:

+ Serve as the technical lead and mentor for developers and analysts within the Emerging Technologies team.

+ Partner with the Enterprise Architect to define technical strategy, architecture standards, and modernization initiatives.

+ Design, develop, and maintain integrations and applications using current technologies of .NET Core, Python, Talend, RESTful APIs, Oracle, and GCP.

+ Lead POCs and pilot projects for next-generation retail technologies.

+ Evaluate, recommend, and implement new frameworks, platforms, and methodologies that will future-proof Schnucks’ technology ecosystem.

+ Help define best practices for cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, and API governance.

+ Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology strategy with operational goals and customer experience initiatives.

+ Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of all systems and integrations.

+ Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning across the team.

Experience Requirements:

Required:

+ 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or solution design role.

+ Strong experience with:

+ .NET Core / C#, Python application development

+ Talend or similar ETL/data integration platforms

+ RESTful API / Web Services design and development

+ Relational Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)

+ Cloud platforms (preferably GCP)

+ Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through deployment, with continued ownership of ongoing production support and application maintenance.

+ Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Preferred / Future-Focused Experience:
