Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a senior grants accountant supporting a non profit health system in Baltimore, Maryland. Responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger activity, as well as maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations. The position requires providing thorough analyses and explanations of financial transactions and preparing schedules and documentation to support external auditors and grantors. The role entails analyzing grant revenue and expenditure reports, recommending actions to ensure compliance with budgets, projections, and grant terms. This includes preparing reimbursement invoices, monitoring accounts receivable for major grants—such as HRSA 330, Ryan White Parts A/B/C, and private foundation awards—and compiling and analyzing financial data to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual cost and grant reports for federal, state, and private funders.
The position also involves developing and managing grant budgets for new applications, modifications, and ongoing reporting, while serving as the primary liaison with auditors and grantors on financial and compliance matters. Further duties include contributing to the creation and improvement of accounting policies and procedures to align with best practices and strengthen internal controls. The role demands expert proficiency in accounting software, fundraising platforms, electronic health record systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting (focus on General and Grant Accounting preferred)
• 3+ years of accounting experience
Direct experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or non-profit organization
