    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking multiple Teradata DBAs to support one of our large financial clients in a variety of markets. This team is supporting a project to merge two production platforms for cost efficiencies. Responsibilites include:

     

    Supporting multiple Teradata systems including independent marts, development/UAT, disaster recovery, security and the enterprise warehouse systems and business applications.

     

    Building and Installing new Teradata systems including setting access control security layer, DR setup

     

    Managing/Monitoring Teradata system performance, including workload management,

     

    Query performance and tuning, physical node behavior, and amp distribution.

     

    Consulting on physical database implementations, PPI, skew analysis, join methods, and data access paths.

     

    Working with Teradata GSO in resolving RDBMS related incidents.

    Skills and Requirements

    10 years of experience as a Teradata DBA

     

    Proficiency with installing software and hardware, testing management, and performance tuning

     

    Strong Teradata system knowledge

    SQL experience

    Linux/Unix experience Large financial enterprise experience

     

    Experience with merging platforms together and CPU knowledge
