• Hybrid Java API Engineer

    Job Description

    Hybrid 3d/week in Hartford, CT / Charlotte, NC / Columbus, OH

     

    Work with data science business-unit teams to drive agentic AI requests into Java API MCP connections

     

    Support business service transformation for employer benefit enrollment for strategic data and partnership access

     

    Standardize individual client-based APIs into one general API framework to link agents to data sources

     

    End-to-end program and deployment support of Java API gateways and accesses

     

    Contribute to agentic AI builds within Gen AI frameworks and provide functionality input to data science/engineering teams

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, ideally coming from insurance backgrounds

     

    Extensive experience supporting API design in Java including Gateway/DevSecOps deployment for access granting and authorization

     

    3+ years of experience with AWS stack technology (Springboot, Typescript)

     

    Expertise in Gen AI/Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph) and interface with data science teams to connect agents to APIs Agile environment experience

     

    Accounting/billing platform knowledge/interface

     

    Experience with Employee Benefit employer partnerships
